Meet ravers in London

Someone to go out with – or someone to stay in with afterwards.

A crowd in silhouette under red lights at a club night

London has more going on any given weekend than anyone could get to in a year. That's the good news and the problem: it's a big city to find your people in, and the person you'd get on with is probably at a different night across town.

Raver Dating is for people who'd rather meet someone who gets why you'd queue in the cold for a 7am finish. Make a profile, say what you're into and where you go out, and see who's near you.

Where London goes out

A few places come up again and again.

MOT, South Bermondsey

A warehouse on an industrial estate off Surrey Canal Road that opened in 2018 and has since been named London's best club by Time Out two years running. It books right across electronic music – jungle one week, techno or ambient the next – and the weekend licence runs late. (Source: Time Out.)

fabric, Farringdon

Opened in 1999 on Charterhouse Street, opposite Smithfield Market, in an old cold store. Three rooms, each with its own sound system, and the famous Room One floor wired with bass transducers so you feel it as much as hear it. Fridays have long leaned to drum and bass and bass music; Saturdays to house and techno. It was voted the world's number one club in DJ Mag's poll in 2007 and 2008. (Source: Wikipedia.)

Deptford and around

Deptford and neighbouring New Cross have a long-running arts and music scene, helped along by Goldsmiths and the Laban dance centre nearby. It's the kind of area where the night might be in a pub back room, a railway arch or a community venue, and where you'll keep seeing the same faces. (Source: Wikipedia.)

The parties

Then there are the nights that aren't tied to one building – the likes of Mitzi Turbo and Planet Fun – which move around and pull a loyal crowd. We wrote about a few of them in raves worth travelling for.

Meeting someone here

Big clubs are brilliant for the music and hard for conversation. Plenty of people meet at a night and never swap names. Starting on here means you already know you've got something in common before you're shouting over a sound system.

A few things that help:

If you'd rather start with a mate than a date, see find a rave buddy. And if you're heading out alone for the first time, going to a rave on your own covers it.

Staying safe

Every profile can be ID-verified and carries a badge when it is, so you can see who's checked before you meet. Our safety page covers the rest, including how to report or block anyone. Tell a friend where you're going, and keep your own way home sorted.
