Raver Dating is a dating site for people who go raving. Clubs, warehouse parties, fields, festivals, a free party at the end of a long drive – if that's where you'd rather be on a Saturday, it's for you.

It's easy to meet people at a rave and hard to keep hold of them. You have a good chat in the smoking area, you lose each other at the end, and that's that. Mainstream apps don't help much either: "likes music" covers everyone. On here, the thing you have in common is a given, so you can get on with finding out whether you actually get on.

Who it's for

Anyone over 18 who loves electronic music and going out to hear it. That covers a lot of ground:

Members are in the UK, the USA and further afield, and you're welcome wherever you are.

How it works

You make a profile, add some photos and say what you're into – the music, the nights, what you're looking for. Each day you get suggested matches based on things like age, distance, the kind of relationship you want and your interests. You can browse, like and message people, and set up a group chat for the next night out.

It runs in any browser on your phone or computer. There isn't an app-store app, but you can add it to your home screen and it works like one. How it works has the full rundown, and pricing sets out the memberships.

Keeping it real

Any member can verify their ID, and verified profiles carry a badge. There's also a quick video check with a moderator, and profiles can be approved by hand. You can report or block anyone from inside the site, and there's a real support team you can reach by chat. The safety page goes through everything that's in place.

Meeting someone new still deserves the usual care: chat first, meet somewhere public, tell a friend where you'll be and get yourself home.
